旭能光電股份有限公司於2007年6月創立，主要的投資公司為浩瀚數位，技術團隊是由一群鍍膜技術與薄膜材料背景之專業人士所組成。公司初期透過與日本伊藤忠商社合作的方式，向其購置一條年產25MW的非晶矽薄膜的生產線。主要的設備技術來源為日本ULVAC Inc.，未來除生產品質良好之太陽能模組供應市場所需之外，亦計畫與ULVAC於台中成立研發中心以協助台灣太陽能產業鍊之完整發展。

Sunner Solar Corporation was founded in Taoyuan, Taiwan in June 2007 and built the first 25MW thin film amorphous silicon PV modules plant in Central Taiwan Science Park, Taiwan.

The core technical team of Sunner Solar is composed of members with more than 10 years of experience and expertise in thin film products R&D and mass production. Accompanied with professionals in sputtering processes and lamination, our team is fully capable of developing thin film opti-electronic devices. In cooperation with a well-known Japanese thin film vacuum equipment manufacturer, we set up a R&D center in Taiwan and devote ourselves to research and development of next generation low cost & high efficiency solar cells.

Sunner Solar’s PV modules are perfect choices with high benefit-cost ratio for system integrators. Our modules are designed to fit in all types of PV applications, including grid-connected, stand-alone PV systems, large scale PV power plant, and Building Integrated PV (BIPV). All modules can be manufactured according to customers’ specific needs, for example, framed or frameless modules or modules with different types of encapsulations such as Glass-EVA-Glass and Glass-EVA-Backsheet can all be provided upon customer’s request.

Sunner Solar’s PV modules are designed and manufactured to meet the standard and rules specified in IEC 61646 & IEC 61730. Such modules will be able to maintain their strength and performance under different weather conditions and critical environments. Our quality assurance starts with the very beginning of raw material selection and feedstock quality control. During the manufacturing process, we apply automated production processes and strict in-line quality control measures to monitor manufacturing quality. We also make use of simulators to check our product against specifications. The defective products will be sorted out and analyzed for future improvements. Before packing and shipping, modules are inspected again as the final quality check in order to ensure the perfection of all outgoing modules. With all the quality assurance measures, our modules all come with a one-year guarantee and 20-year minimum power output (>80%) warranty.

Our modules are designed with a large size glass substrate (1.1x1.4m) to not only increase the through-put of production but also decrease the cost. This also benefits our customers to speed up the installation process and reduce the cost of manpower.
